How do I connect SIP or PRI trunks on Nexbro UCM?

Nexbro Unified Communication Manager supports SIP trunks, PRI, GSM, and traditional phone lines. For many Indian carriers, the UCM includes inbuilt SIP/PRI templates (for example Jio, Airtel, BSNL, Connect, VI, and others) so you can apply known-good settings instead of guessing codec and registration details.

Typical steps

  1. Confirm your carrier account, DID numbers, and whether the circuit is SIP or PRI.
  2. In the UCM, open trunk configuration and select the matching operator template when available.
  3. Enter credentials or circuit identifiers provided by your carrier, then save and test registration or link status.
  4. Create inbound routes (IVR, queues, or extensions) and outbound dial plans that use the new trunk.
  5. Place a test call in both directions and verify caller ID and recording policy if enabled.

If a template is not listed for your provider, configure a generic SIP or PRI trunk with the values from your carrier’s interconnect sheet, then contact helpdesk if registration fails. Multi-office sites can share extensions across interconnect while each site keeps local trunks where needed.
